No. Files are read and processed in your browser, then saved locally. We do not provide a remote content backend.
Is it really free?
Yes. The reader is free to use, with no account and no ads. Public pages send only privacy-hardened Umami pageviews; the reader sends no analytics or reading events.
What can I open?
EPUB, TXT, and HTML/XHTML. PDFs, DOCX, URLs, AI features, sync, and accounts are intentionally out of scope.
